Springboard Services in Atlantic Canada

Springboard Clinic | Springboard Services in Atlantic Canada

Welcome to Springboard, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick!

Springboard Clinic is VERY excited to announce the expansion of our ADHD focused services to Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.  If you haven’t heard of us, we are the clinic behind this bestselling book on ADHD and we are on a mission to improve the lives of all individuals impacted by ADHD.

Aligned with our mission to grow Springboard’s impact within the ADHD community, we are delighted to be able to offer virtual psychological assessment services and psychotherapy/coaching to these provinces!

Our ADHD Assessment and Treatment Services in Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick:

Springboard Psychological ADHD Assessment

Working with our ADHD-focused psychology team, this comprehensive mental health evaluation provides a thorough understanding of your unique strengths, needs and challenges related to attention and your overall wellbeing. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of your attention-related symptoms and how they have impacted your life experiences. From there, we’ll recommend treatments or supports that are tailored to you.

Memory Assessment

Our neuropsychologist conducts a thorough and evidence-based evaluation of strengths and challenges related to attention and memory abilities. This assessment will help you gain more clarity around the way your brain holds and stores key information, so you can distinguish where focusing symptoms vs. working memory strengths or challenges are at play. We’ll provide you with personally designed-practical strategies to help you find creative workarounds in your everyday life.

Springboard Individual Coaching/Therapy Services:

Our ADHD-focused therapists and coaches use a strengths-based philosophy to guide you in developing ways to work alongside focusing and executive functioning challenges. Feel more you, develop creative ways to address your symptoms, while exploring ways to be gentle to (and patient) with yourself in the process.  Whether you’ve been assessed at Springboard or elsewhere, you can work with our interdisciplinary coaching team of Psychologists, Registered Psychotherapists, Art Therapists, Social Workers, Coaches and Occupational Therapists.

Parent, Couples and Family/Relationship Support:

We know how important community support is in your journey and we are committed to providing coaching and therapy services for your loved ones too. When we are able to support multiple family members in tandem, not only are the outcomes better, but it is also easier for everyone to maintain and sustain new approaches, structure and next steps.

After 14 years in business, why are we expanding our services to Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick now?

We have methodically worked to develop our processes, build our team and customize our offerings, so we can confidently grow our services with the heart-based, targeted and comprehensive approach our community expects. We promise a robust, strengths-based experience where you gain an understanding of your wants and needs in the context of the mental health symptoms you are experiencing. And we are ready to get started today – and that means short wait times, and an easy intake process. Because when you are ready to do the work, we are ready to be your partner!

What we know about supporting individuals with ADHD

Medication-only treatment for ADHD is not enough.

We have heard this story too many times; the one where someone gets a diagnosis of ADHD, feels relieved and hopeful, but is disappointed when medication does not make the long-term difference they are expecting. Medication can make an incredible impact, but it should always be accompanied by a meaningful assessment and support services model. It isn’t a silver bullet – it’s a tool in the toolbox.

ADHD symptoms should be carefully evaluated in the context of your life.

ADHD looks different for every single individual. Taking the time to unpack where it is playing a role in your life is essential. By fully understanding where ADHD is impacting you, you’ll be able to take steps towards creating sustainable change in your life (and that takes time). Working through this process with a team – one that is deeply curious about your experience – improves outcomes. At Springboard, we know the importance of not rushing through this process. By doing it properly, we focus on you; validating your experiences, stories, wants and needs.

Working with a team with specific expertise in ADHD is crucial.

Since ADHD looks different for each person, it is not an easy clinical diagnosis to make. Accurately defining and assessing ADHD in the context of your life requires careful examination. To us, a meaningful assessment experience is about getting to know you – your challenges and strengths as a complex, unique individual. It’s not about filling out a quick checklist of symptoms to see if ADHD is in the picture. And to that end, our expert team works through a customized, thorough in-house assessment process, and then integrates findings to inform a support approach that fits your brain-style.

ADHD is a lifelong journey – and a circle of care approach from assessment through to support services matters.

ADHD is a lifelong journey. Maybe you’re new to ADHD in your life or a loved one’s life, or perhaps you are re-engaging with questions or goals as you embark on a new stage of life. Wherever you find yourself, having support resources tailored to you and where you are at can make all the difference. Whether heading off to a new school, starting a different job, becoming a parent or seeking answers about the way your brain works, our diverse team is here to step (back) in. You are complex, and so is ADHD, so find a support team that can be your guide.

What can I expect from Springboard Clinic?

As Canadian pioneers in serving those with ADHD through strengths-based self-discovery, we combine evidence-based assessment and treatment best practices with a heartfelt commitment to inspiring people of all ages to lead more fulfilling lives. Since opening in 2009, we have worked alongside over 10,000 patients and their families, to better understand their unique brain styles to improve their quality-of-life outcomes.

We care about what we do, and we take it seriously. To diagnose ADHD in a customized and robust way, we know it requires careful consideration, exploration and a collaborative team that understands what ADHD is, and what it is not. To get a feel for how we approach ADHD, check out our adult workbook.  For us, ADHD is personal. It requires heart-led, evidence-based rigour in both the assessment and treatment of it.

As we grow our impact throughout Canada, you can expect the same level of care, detail and consideration we have been offering since 2009. We will walk alongside you through the assessment and treatment phase, offering a circle of care approach, that is deeply personalized. While ADHD is often under diagnosed, we understand that it can sometimes be missed or over-diagnosed too. That’s why a comprehensive assessment is crucial for an accurate diagnosis. We are on a mission to unlock the full potential of all Canadians with attention issues – one person, family, community, region at a time.

“The Springboard team is very organized, empathetic and professional. I felt well supported before and during the assessment process through to my diagnosis. I highly recommend the Springboard Clinic.”
