Autism assessments may be helpful for kids, teens, or adults who have trouble with social cues and communication, emotional awareness or expression, rigid or repetitive actions, sensory sensitivities, and have a history of developmental delays. This can include children who are not meeting developmental milestones on time, having trouble fitting in socially, or adults who suspect they may be on the autism spectrum but were never diagnosed.
At Springboard we have three different assessment services that can offer Autism assessment as well – our Stand Alone ASD Assessment, our ASD and ADHD Assessment, and our Psychoeducational, Giftedness, and ASD assessment. All of these assessment services involve multi-session assessments spread over a couple of weeks depending on you and your child’s availability and schedule.
For ages 6-17, a doctor’s referral and teacher input are required; for adults, a referral is optional.
There are many reasons why a child, teen or adult may not be diagnosed with ASD after going through a comprehensive assessment, but our clinical team will still provide customized treatment recommendations that address your reasons for wanting an assessment in the first place. Our team will provide you with support, tailored suggestions, and resources that will keep you moving along you or your child moving along your journey towards learning how to thrive.
