Frequently Asked Questions about Executive Function Coaching

Executive functions are mental skills that help with planning, staying organized, managing time, focusing, and controlling emotions and impulses. If you have low executive function, you might feel easily overwhelmed, struggle to start or finish tasks, miss deadlines, or have trouble managing your emotions in stressful situations.

Challenges with executive function are common in people with ADHD, but they can also affect those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, depression, perfectionism, rigid thinking, or anyone struggling to keep up with life’s demands. Our Executive Function coaching is available for elementary and high school students, college students, adults, and parents. No assessment is needed—these sessions are designed for anyone ready to make positive changes in their daily life right away.

Executive Function Coaching Services are also available to kids if they are able to come for in-person sessions.

Executive Function Coaching focuses on building practical skills like organization, time management, and planning, helping you tackle everyday tasks more effectively. Unlike ADHD coaching, which targets ADHD-specific challenges, Executive Function Coaching is broader and can benefit anyone struggling with these skills, not just those with ADHD. Therapy, on the other hand, dives into emotional well-being, exploring feelings, behaviors, and mental health concerns, while coaching stays action-focused, guiding you to develop concrete strategies to improve daily functioning.

Yes, you can do Executive Function Coaching online, offering flexibility and convenience to fit your schedule. Online sessions can be very effective for some people, allowing you to work on skills like organization, time management, and planning from the comfort of your home, office or anywhere that works best for you.

You’ll know Executive Function Coaching is working when you start noticing improvements like getting more organized, meeting deadlines, and feeling less overwhelmed by daily tasks. You might find it easier to plan, stay focused, or handle responsibilities that used to be challenging. Regular feedback from your coach and reflecting on your progress will also help you see the positive changes over time.

We are here to answer any further questions you may have and guide you on the right path.
