With years of experience behind us, we’re excited to be growing–and we’re now looking for a part-time psychotherapist who is passionate about neurodiversity and client-centred care to join us.

About the Role

As a Springboard Psychotherapist, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker, alongside a warm and collaborative multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients of all ages to design treatment plans that target ADHD (and/or ASD) symptom management strategies, increasing awareness of their strengths and values, while supporting their individual mental health needs. You’ll also work directly with parents—helping them develop strategies to manage ADHD at home, better understand their own needs as caregivers, to create a family environment where everyone can thrive.

Our clinicians draw on a variety of treatment modalities to empower clients of all ages, while keeping in mind the day-to-day presence of ADHD symptoms.

Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in the assessment and diagnosis of children, adolescents, and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions and related mental health comorbidities. 
  • Conduct medical interviews for new assessments patients (ages 6+), working alongside our psychologists/psychological associates to discuss patients and align in diagnoses as well as the recommended treatment plans.
  • Implement customized treatment plans that include medication management and wellness recommendations.
  • Join the patient Feedback session to aid in delivery of the assessment results, providing psychoeducation around medical results and recommendations in a manner that is strengths-focused and easily understood.
  • Provide medical follow-ups to evaluate patient progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed, addressing patient concerns in a supportive manner.  
  • Conduct medical consultations for returning medical patients and internal referrals to discuss patient concerns, changes in their wellbeing, and redesign a medical treatment plan accordingly
  • Support the transition of care back to family physicians once medical treatment has been optimized. 

 

Required Skills:

  • A Master’s degree in psychology, psychotherapy, social work, counselling, or a related mental health field is required.
  • A successful candidate is a fully registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or the Ontaio College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), a regulatory body identified as able to deliver psychotherapy services in Ontario.
  • 3-5 years of clinical/treatment experience working with individuals with a wide range of clinical presentations, including ADHD.
  • Experience in providing treatment services to adults age 40+ and parents.
  • Experience providing treatment services to individuals with ASD is an asset.
  • A positive, non-judgemental and inclusive approach to care and teamwork is essential.

Build your Assessment Skills in a Supportive Learning Environment

At Springboard Clinic, our practicum program is designed for graduate psychologt students who want to strengthen their skills in psychological assessment. With a primary focus on ADHD and related conditions, you’ll gain hands-on experience conducting comprehensive evaluations, interpreting results, and providing feedback to clients. Guided by experienced supervisors and a multidisciplinary team, you’ll develop the confidence and expertise needed to take the next step in your professional journey.

About Springboard Clinic

Springboard Clinic is a multidisciplinary health clinic specializing in the assessment and treatment of ADHD across the lifespan – supporting children, teens, adults and older adults in our community. Our team includes specialized physicians, psychologists, psychological associates, social workers, psychotherapists, art therapists, and other health professionals, offering a wide range of expertise and perpectives.

Supervision & Support

You will work closely with your registered Psychologist or Psychological Associate supervisor to determine the exact scope of your practicum experience. We follow an open-door supervision policy, meaning support is available when needed. In addition, you will receive a formal hour of weekly supervision to discuss cases, monitor progress, and reflect on your learning.

 

Training:

Your practicum will provide hands-on opportuntities to develop core clinical skills, including:

  • Psychological interviewing
  • Assessment administration and scoring
  • Test interpretation
  • Case conceptualization
  • Differential diagnosis
  • Report writing
  • Providing clinical feedback to clients

 

Seminars:

Students are invited to attend and actively participate in seminars, which may include:

  • Clinical case presentations
  • Special interest topics
  • Collaborative discussions with peers and supervisors

 

Research Opportunities:

In addition to clinical training, students may contribute to:

  • Program evaluation initiatives
  • In-progress research projects
  • Clinical research protocols for ethics review

What You'll Learn

This practicum placement is primarily an assessment-focused training experience. As a practicum student, you will:

  • Develop skills in comprehensive psychoeducational and ADHD assessments across different age groups.
  • Gain experience in addressing referral questions related to neurodiversity.
  • Build proficiency in evaluating ADHD and co-occuring conditions, including:
    • Anxiety disorders (e.g. generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety)
    • Depressive disorders (e.g. major depressive disorder)
    • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
    • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
    • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
    • Learning disorders
  • Strengthen your ability to differentiate neurodiverse presentations from other mental health conditions and develop robust diagnostic and case conceptualization skills.

Springboard Clinic’s expanding and we are excited to welcome our first Speech Language Pathologist to the team! This position is for an Independent Contractor and would follow a hybrid work model involving virtual care as well as in person sessions at the clinic; working a minimum of one (1) day per week with a potential to increase hours based on client demand.

About the Role

As our Speech Language Pathologist, you will work under the oversight of the Clinical Team Lead and within a multidisciplinary team. Your work responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Design assessments and consultations that blend your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist with the Springboard approach for client care.

  • Conduct assessments to identify and diagnose communication difficulties/disorders and develop treatment goals in collaboration with clients.

  • Create and execute treatment plans using evidence-based practices, providing treatment to clients of all ages with communication difficulties/disorders.

  • Work alongside our team to create streamlined internal workflows in relation to any SLP service offerings.

  • Manage a caseload of at least four (4) client hours per day, including scheduling future sessions with clients, as assigned.

  • Provide services under the management of a registered psychotherapist or RPN for client care and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team as needed.

  • Adhere to PHIPA guidelines and maintain client confidentiality.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Licensed by and in good standing with CASLPO

  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of related clinical experience;

  • Proven clinical experience working with children, families, and stakeholders to provide client-centered, comprehensive care;

  • Adheres to PHIPA guidelines and maintains client confidentiality;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Self-directed to manage and fulfill weekly client caseloads; and

  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
