Psychoeducational assessments are comprehensive evaluations that measure cognitive abilities, academic skills, and learning styles, providing insight into both learning challenges and possible giftedness. These assessments can identify neurodivergence such as ADHD, dyslexia, or advanced intellectual strengths, helping you understand not just what your child is experiencing, but how they learn best. The results guide recommendations and supports to create an environment—at school and at home—where your child can truly thrive.
If your child is struggling with attention, anxiety, reading, writing, math, homework battles, perfectionism, or seems bright but underperforming, an assessment can help clarify what’s going on and how to support them.

Yes. Our reports provide clear documentation and recommendations that can support IEP development and accommodations within Canadian school boards.
Our assessment process begins with our team guiding you through every step and supporting you along the way. Preparation typically includes completing questionnaires and gathering key documents such as report cards, previous assessments, and relevant medical information to ensure a smooth and thorough evaluation. Your child then participates in in-person testing sessions in a calm, supportive environment, where we work at their pace to help them feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. A detailed feedback meeting and comprehensive written report follow, outlining strengths, challenges, and practical recommendations.
We review the results together and guide you through next steps — including school advocacy, strategies for home, and recommendations to help your child thrive. When appropriate, we can continue supporting your family through coaching or therapy to build skills and confidence over time.
Twice-exceptional (2e) describes children who are both gifted and have learning or attention differences, such as ADHD or dyslexia. Because of this mix of strengths and challenges, their abilities may mask difficulties, or their difficulties may hide their strengths. A psychoeducational assessment helps clarify this learning profile.
