How Springboard's Memory Assessments Work

Intake Consultation

Two-hour assessment in-clinic or via secure video conference. Additional 2 hour session for those without an ADHD diagnosis.

Sessions with our expert team, including a neuropsychologist specializing in cognitive brain health.

Meet our Experienced Assessment Team of ADHD Experts

PhD, C.Psyc

Dr. Murphy is a registered psychologist, practicing in clinical psychology, neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology, working with adults and seniors. She earned her doctorate from Western University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Rotman Research Institute. Currently, she is the Director of Service Development and Research at Springboard Clinic, an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto, and a member of the CADDRA Research Committee. Dr. Murphy has extensive clinical and research experience in cognitive assessment and intervention. She is passionate about translating evidence-based research into clinical practice to benefit her clients: “Effective care requires understanding a person’s needs in the context of their lived experience. Whether providing assessment or treatment, my goal is to help clients feel that the expertise they have in their own lives is recognized, respected and considered at every step in the process.”

PhD

A member of the College of Psychologists with over 30 years’ experience of clinical practice in neuropsychology and school psychology, Dr. Currie conducts assessments and provides intervention services to children, adolescents and adults experiencing challenges relating to mental health, attentional, emotional, behavioural or learning concerns. She has particular interest in the diagnoses and treatment of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities (LD) and associated difficulties. At Springboard, Dr. Currie shares her insights within a multidisciplinary team and develops strengths-based plans to help clients move forward in their journey: “I’m passionate about using my expertise in evaluation and analysis/synthesis to develop meaningful interventions and recommendations that help people achieve their goals and lead their best lives.”

MEd, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Richards-Bentley is the lead physician at Springboard Clinic and is recognized as an expert in ADHD as part of the ADHD Specialty E-Consultation group within OTN Hub. He has published on the topic of ADHD in physician patients and continues to supervise resident physician education with the University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Richards-Bentley has completed graduate work in Education and has taught Cognitive Behaviour Therapy training in Ethiopia as part of the Toronto Addis Ababa Psychiatry Project. He has delivered lectures on ADHD presentations in Emergency Psychiatry, transitional youth, gifted/high-functioning patients, and those with other neurodivergence. He is interested in global health and the treatment of ADHD and its associated difficulties, such as anxiety and mood disorders: “We help clients build a narrative of understanding themselves – their struggles, their strengths and their sources of resilience to help them become closer to who they want to be. In my work, I help to unpack sometimes conflicting identities to help them move forward.”

Dr. Spilka is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and a scientist in the digital health technology sector. He completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Calgary, followed by a Clinical Fellowship in Neuropsychology through the University Health Network in Toronto. He has clinical expertise conducting neuropsychological assessments with adult clients with a range of psychological and medical concerns. At Springboard, he strives to help assessment clients gain insight into their concerns and harness this knowledge to bring about positive change: “My aim with the assessment process is to help clients better understand their strengths and challenges and equip them with recommendations and strategies that build on their strengths and help them address their concerns.”

PhD, C.Psych

Dr. Bailey is a Clinical Psychologist who obtained her Ph.D. from Concordia University in Montreal conducting research on neuroplasticity and the effects of early experience on the brain and behaviour. She has spent the last 13 years providing assessments and treatment to the ADHD community working with clients of all ages individually and in groups, offering parent and couples support, as well as collaborating with teachers. She is currently the Executive Director of Clinical Services at Springboard Clinic. In her role, she oversees all facets of assessment, coaching and therapy services offered by the Clinic. She is a co-author on Springboard Clinic’s adult ADHD workbook called “May we have your attention please?” and is passionate about designing mental health services that are both ADHD-friendly and effective: “I believe in human resiliency. We’re all shaped by genetics, but also by our experiences. I encourage people to acknowledge, analyze, learn from or heal from those experiences to live a more authentic, rewarding and intentional life.”

Dr. Sagman provides assessments, medical consults and follow up treatment and care to our clients with ADHD and related disorders. He has clinical experience in both academic and community settings including the Michael Garron Hospital where he remains on staff. “At Springboard, we undertake a biopsychosocial/holistic approach to our patient’s mental health, addressing all dimensions of their condition to make a difference in their lives.”
